Pictures

Got the boys' 1-year photos taken today. I think they're gonna turn out really cute. I'm a fan of candid pictures - I don't like the "posed" look - I also like focusing on objects w/the background blurry. So I found someone who fits my style and she took their pictures on the C-ville Square today. We got lots of great backgrounds and several outfit changes so hopefully they will turn out great. Not too many smiles today since the boys haven't been feeling well but we're hoping for some good pictures anyway.

I am loving Steven being home this weekend. After a week of both boys being sick it brings back memories of last summer - I lived for the weekends b/c I loved Steven being home to help me take care of 2 newborns. I sure do hate Mondays :( I love being home w/my boys but it would be so much more fun if Steven were here to hang out with us!

We're finally seeing the little personalities come back in the boys. Their eyes aren't watery, they don't have a fever, and they don't cry every time you put them down. We have been blessed with only 1 or 2 bouts of illness in the past year but this last virus was a doozy! Their one-year check-up is Tuesday so we'll see how much they weigh and how tall they are. They seem pretty average for weight but Peyton seems so much taller now. The boys are almost completely on whole milk now (we had to go slow b/c of Landon's reflux) and only drink out of sippy cups. They had their first bite of pickle today. Peyton liked it and kept coming back for more but Landon wouldn't even taste it after he smelled it! And they're southern for sure....they love sweet tea!
