I'm going to try to get back to blogging, so here we go......

1) Sadie is home.  Sadie is our new yellow lab.  She is around 8 years old and is more than likely an English Lab, because she is only about 65 pounds.  We found her at Collierville Animal Shelter and immediately adopted her.  I was a little hesitant about it after the reality of having 2 kids and 2 dogs running around set in, but we took the boys up to the shelter and she was great with them.  She came home yesterday and has been incredibly gentle and well-mannered.

2) Last night was our annual "3rd" of July get-together where we cook out and watch the fireworks at our house.  In years past we have always had more of an adult night, where the babies went to bed and the adults sat outside and talked.  But last night was our first toddlers-ran-the-show fireworks spectacular.  We had 8 little ones (and 1 unfortunate preteen) here running around and having a blast.  The boys didn't go to bed until about 11:30.  Yeesh.

3) We leave for Vegas in just over a week.  I am so excited about this trip with Steven, my sister, and my brother-in-law.  Steven and I had a wonderful week to ourselves about a week ago, so we don't really "need" a vacation, but it sure will be nice to get away and have some adult time with our 2 favorite people to hang out with.  Plus our boys would love nothing better than a few days with their cousins, so I think everyone will have a good time.
