2/17/12
Our nightly routine is pretty funny - I never think twice about it until the boys spend the night with my parents or Steven's parents or we go out on a date and our parents come over and put the boys to bed. I catch myself saying "we'll bring his orange pants over" (b/c they're in the washer from the night before). See, Landon has worn the same orange pants and the same orange shirt w/a brown football on it for oh....I'd say about the past 45 nights in a row. He refuses to wear anything else. Every day we have to wash that outfit so that it's ready for that night. I looked it up and it seems to be a security thing w/kids his age. It's the only thing they feel like they have control over in this crazy world. Another funny thing is "I see you" kisses. This is where they put their faces up to the mesh of the pack 'n play for a kiss. I have no idea where "I see you" came from but that's what we call them. You must give them both one before they go to sleep. And that brings me to another point - for some reason they are on this kick of sleeping in their pack 'n plays. Peyton started it and poor Landon has no choice. If we let Landon sleep in the big bed he ends up throwing a party and destroying their room. So it actually makes it easier on us to just let them both sleep in their PNPs. The first time they both say they want to sleep in the big bed though we'll let them. It *has* to be more comfortable than those PNPs!
