This past weekend was their 4th birthday party. All of our family and friends were there to help celebrate, with the exception of sweet Nonna, who is recuperating from surgery. It was a lot of fun for everyone (most of the kids had never been to Kids Play) and I know the boys had a blast. I could tell from the sweat dripping from their hair....
Today we went to a pancake breakfast to raise money for my student teacher's summer camp, Camp Adventure. The boys were a hit with their cute comments such as "mmmmm, something smells delicious!" Then we headed over to Botanic Gardens, where we soaked in the 80-degree weather. More sweet comments were made such as "this place is beautiful!" but then there were some not-so-nice ones such as "hahaha he looks like a clown!" to the little red-headed boy or "why is she speaking Spanish?" to the mom who was clearly Latino/Hispanic.
When it was clear the boys were tuckered out and were hitting their breaking points (i.e. whining) we headed home. On the way home P said "mom, I have an idea." I said "what's that, P?" He said "why don't we go to kids play for a little bit? It's on the way home!" How can you argue with that?? I have a month-long membership for the month of June so why not get our money's worth?
Tomorrow is cheap movie day at C'ville Malco. We'll be seeing Rio, which I'm pretty excited about b/c I've heard it's pretty good and I've been wanting to take the boys to the movies lately since they're actually old enough to sit through one now.
Oh, and before I go I must leave you with P's latest saying....L did something tonight and P goes "that wasn't very impressive." My guess is he heard his 13 year old cousin say that this past weekend. Love how he picks up sayings like this and uses them so darn appropriately.
