Update - 2 & 1/2 years old

I know the posts are few and far between these days, but I do like keeping the blog updated every now and then b/c I print the pages and keep them in a notebook so the boys and I will have memories to look back on. I also like to keep my photo albums updated b/c I want to be able to look back on special occasions or even days of just playing in the yard when the boys get older. You might even say I'm a little OCD about my photo albums - it's just something I started in college and have continued into adulthood. I have bins filled w/albums dating back to Mark's birth. Hopefully someone will appreciate them someday :)

Physical:
- the boys weigh about 30 lbs. each and are just over 3 ft. tall (pretty average on both counts)
- Landon is a little taller than Peyton and feels like he weighs much more b/c he's "thick" :)
- they run, jump, roll around, slide, swing, kick and throw balls, and swing bats just like any other kid
- they LOVE to play outside
Emotional:
- they throw tantrums just like any other 2 year old, but they honestly get over them pretty fast
- the key to Landon is ignoring his meltdowns and the key to Peyton is to explain things to him
- they still go to time out when they need to calm down
- they love their extended family, pray for them every night, and love to call them on the phone
- they have to have a "kiss" and "hug....awww" every night when they go to bed
- they have to be tucked in and sometimes wake up in the middle of the night asking to "tuck in"
- P sleeps with white smokey dog and L sleeps with Bibbit
Mental:
- they are really showing an interest in drawing and reading
- P loves to copy the words I say when I'm reading the Bible bedtime story at night
- L loves to "draw mommy" and P loves to "draw circles"
- Landon shows a major interest in music - singing the words to several songs
Social:
- they still don't get a lot of peer interaction, but they will start preschool in Aug. of 2012
- when we do take them to play w/friends, L is more shy than P
- L is a little more willing to share than P
- they both have a HUGE vocabulary and understand pretty much everything that goes on
- Mawmaw Jo still keeps them during the day
- most days they do not nap (but still have to rest), but they sleep about 12 hours every night
