The funniest thing that happened yesterday during our potty training adventure was when P would sit on the potty, strain real hard, toot, and then say "all done!" :)

Potty training put on hold
I *really* wanted to potty train at least 1 of my children this summer, but it doesn't look like that was meant to be. I worked with Peyton yesterday, since he seemed more ready than Landon, but even he doesn't seem quite ready for this step. He liked going teetee on the potty, but didn't care when he peed in his underwear, which is obviously a problem. He would just keep playing - never missed a beat. It was as if the potty was cool, but not cool enough to disrupt his playtime. He peed on the potty about 7 times though, so at least he knows what it's for and maybe he will get sick of wet diapers soon. I may give it another shot in a month or so, before I go back to work. For now, I will just continue to encourage him to go every chance we get (every diaper change at least). I continue to encourage Landon, but he is so uninterested that he actually fights me when I try to get him to sit on the potty. I think he just needs more time and seeing Peyton get rewarded should help.

I am right there with you! We attempted to begin potty training Macey a couple weeks ago, and it was obvious that she had no interest! I have no doubt at all that she understands the whole process, but she's a bit stubborn and just has no interest. :-) So, instead of worrying, we just decided to try again in a couple months or so. Good luck to y'all!
