Almost 2!

Wow - I have a lot of catching up to do.....in a way, my life has gotten easier since having the boys. I have a few minutes every now and then to sit down and do something for myself - the boys will be playing together so I will pick up a magazine and look through a few pages or actually even read (skim) an article. Or I will clean up the kitchen after dinner and Steven will play with the boys while I take a bath. But, on the other hand, life has gotten so much more hectic and there just isn't enough time in the day to get everything done. Even as I'm sitting here writing this, I'm thinking of at least 3 other things that need to be done. But the truth is I *need* to continue this blog as a record of the boys' life. Ups and downs, achievements, funny stories, etc. I have a terrible memory and I love going back and reading the things I've forgotten about over time. I print the blog about once a year and it is so much fun to go back and read posts from a year ago. I just printed the past year and I look forward to reading through it when I have some time. I will tell you one thing - now that I've gotten a phone that can send picture messages, there will be a lot less picture posting on here. The pictures don't print when I print the blog so there's really no point in including them. I know you love to see pics of the boys, but that's what my new phone is for! :) The blog is going to be more for documentation - milestones, funny stories, etc. So here goes.....

THE BOYS ARE ALMOST 2!!! Here's what we're up to these days:

Peyton:

- has gotten really silly lately - he'll do anything for a laugh - he loves to run really fast and then slam into the couch - he'll also bend over, put his head on the floor, and then scoot across the floor (he thinks it's hilarious)

- loves the outdoors - throws a fit when it's time to come inside

- his "fits" are hilarious, btw - they are *nothing* compared to Landon's! :)

- still loves Nemo, Buzz, Thomas ("Nomas") and tractors

- still has the longest, most beautiful eyelashes I've ever seen on a boy - his hair has lightened up to almost the color of Landon's!

- is skinny! He eats but Lordy he has a good metabolism!

- LOVES to take a bath, go on a walk, and go to "Toggit" (Target - yes, he's my son :)

- dances to every theme song on TV

- loves to look out the window and say "bus" or "school bus" and "truck" repeatedly

Landon:

- is still my wild child

- has Jerry Lee Lewis hair

- has a huge milk belly

- is absolutely hilarious - now, when he does something funny or hears something funny he will look at you with a "oh my gosh, did you just hear that??" look on his face - it is hilarious!

- beebops around to any noise that is even remotely danceable - even cellphone ringtones and the neighbor's lawnmower! :)

- HATES to have his diaper changed

- still throws his food when he doesn't like what I give him

- carries his "bibbit" (brown blanket) *everywhere* - little does he know his bibbit is going byebye this summer.....sorry but I think around 2 a child should not have a pacifier or woobie anymore.....

- greets me in the afternoon with "daddy? daddy? daddy?"
