20 months

I can't say it enough.....the boys are changing every day. They are learning new words, new things that will make us laugh, new games, etc. Everything they point to I tell them the name for that item. All it takes is me saying the name a couple of times and they've got it. They even associate it with the right use for the item. For example, I taught them "diaper". Now, every time I grab a diaper Peyton will lay down and say "diaper, diaper". Landon even looked at his crotch last night and said "poopie"! And he was!!! I have a feeling they are going to be pretty easy to potty train. I've already bought an Elmo sticker chart (it was on clearance, of course :) to hang in the bathroom. Now I just need some big boy underwear and some mini M&Ms! :) I plan on potty training them as soon as I'm out of school for the summer.
So here's what they're up to these days........
  • they say about 30 words consistently
  • they associate words w/objects (Steven said Nemo last night and P grabbed the remote and handed it to me!)
  • they love to run and wrestle like boys
  • they are SO sweet to each other when they're not sick - they give kisses, high fives, and share toys
  • they love taking a bath b/c it means they can play w/their choo-choos (Thomas)
  • they love to make us laugh - if they do something that makes us laugh, they will keep doing it over and over
  • they no longer go to physical therapy - they are completely caught up developmentally
  • they are about 31 inches tall (average height)
  • they weigh about 25 pounds (average weight)
  • they are not picky eaters, but they definitely love chicken nuggets and "crackers" (oyster crackers, goldfish, etc.) the best
  • they only drink milk and water - no juice and definitely no coke! (sweet tea every now and then :)
  • they sleep from 7pm to 7:30am
  • they no longer use bath seats in the bathtub and Landon actually SITS in the tub now!
  • they know what time out is - they sit in their chair and wait for the timer to go off and then they say "play?, play?" LOL
  • Landon is SO in love with Trooper!
  • Peyton loves to look at books and be read to
  • they both LOVE to dance!
I cannot believe they will be 2 in just four months. Time is flying by. They truly are amazing babies. They have their moments, especially when their sick, but overall they are so happy and so well-behaved. We couldn't ask for anything more.
