Although this blog is devoted to the boys, I thought you all might like an update on our "animal baby", Maxx. 2 weekends ago he began having seizures out of nowhere. He had never had seizures before, so you can imagine how worried we were. We took him to the pet emergency room (since it was a Sunday) and he had to stay overnight. Our regular vet saw him on Monday and diagnosed him with epilepsy. Come to find out epilepsy is common in golden retrievers and adult onset is common as well. We are thankful for the diagnosis because it could have been something much worse. Maxx now has to take a pill every day to prevent seizures. It took him about a week to get used to the awful side effects of the medicine, but the past couple of days have been much better. He is acting more like himself - jumping up on the couch and snuggling with me after the boys go to bed :) We are so thankful he is ok and appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers. He was the ORIGINAL baby of the family and we want him to live a long, long time.
Maxx continues to be in our prayers every single day!!!
