My favorite age!

The boys are now hitting my favorite age - 18 months! I used to volunteer in the church nursery and I always picked the 18-month olds b/c they were at such a cute age. I look back at pictures of my niece and nephew and I love the memories from this stage in their lives. They are so much fun - learning new things, mimicking new behaviors and words, lighting up at their favorite toys and characters on tv, and getting excited when relatives come over to play. They are so different now - no longer babies who rely on you for everything. They are exploring new things and becoming more independent. This past weekend the boys seemed so much older. It is amazing how much they change when they hit new milestones - they are now 16 1/2 months and seem like little boys. They are saying words like "hi" (they say this when they see my cell phone), "wow" (this is a new one), "uh oh" when they drop their cup, signing "more" when they want more food, dancing when they hear music, showing you body parts like "belly", and picking up on how to make toys work.
