15-month appt.

The boys had their 15-month appt. this past Monday. They were actually sick, so we took them in to have Dr. Mitchell tell us what was wrong. Turns out it was hand, foot, and mouth. I had heard of this, but had no idea how painful it was for babies. They ran a fever and had blisters all over the inside of their mouths. There were even a couple on their lips. They would not eat or drink and cried in pain for hours at a time. Both boys had it over the weekend, but Peyton was better by Monday so she went ahead and gave him his 15-month shots. Landon gets his today. The dr. said overall they look great. They are around 50th percentile for both height and weight. Landon is a little bigger, in both height and weight. We have really noticed how big his feet have gotten, so we're thinking he's going to be a good bit taller than Peyton. I tried to put some socks on his feet from last winter and they wouldn't even fit over his toes! You don't realize how much they've grown until you pull clothing out from the year before. They are still going to physical therapy to try to kick-start walking. So many people say "careful what you wish for" but Steven and I can't WAIT for them to walk! It will be a celebration in our house, for sure.
